Alignment problems

Hello all!

I've been trying to put miles on my Libby (504 and counting). I have noticed that my jeep starts going to the right more than slightly when picking up speed. It is driving me nuts. Is this aan alignment problem? i checked the tire pressure and they are alright. Is is really time to go to the dealership? It's been only 2 1/2 weeks.

Write back please.

Edgar

Need a perfect smooth road to find out. if any tracks or grooves will pull or push one way or other.. .. Unless you hit something hard like pothole or curb. I can't see where you would have knocked out the alignment..

Working as a service advisor for 5yrs Ive seen my share of new cars with align problems. Alot of cars come off the truck with the alignment being off. Possably due to the way its strapped in to the transport truck. Bring it in to your dealer and have it checked. Adjustments such as alignments are tipically covered for the first 12 month/12,000 miles.....

I got new tires with only 4000 miles on my Libby and found out it needed an alignment. Went back to the dealers and they took care of it.

I will check out a smooth road ASAP. I appreciate the responses. Will be in touch soon.

P.S. Can anyone recommend the official Jeep Liberty "book" so that I may know everything about it and how to make all the repairs for it eventually?

I won't be doing anything myself since it is still under warranty, but still want to know.

Also, I don't remember the dealer offering extended warranty on my Libby. Is it worth it if it is still available?

Sincerely,

edgar

I got 245/75/16 BF Goodrich AT's and I love them.
They do rub a little on tight turns but nothing a little body lift won't fix.

You ask if a extended warranty is worth it... I first ask you how long you plan on keeping your jeep.... If its only as long as your base warranty then no a extended warranty is probably not for you....
On the other hand if you plan to keep your Jeep for years past it base warranty period or drive then yes the extended warranty is worth it....
One more thing get the factory extended warranty most aftermarket ones are crap.....

Careful - remember, like the cherokee a liberty is a unibody desin. There are no body lifts available for a liberty. However there are suspension lifts available to make clearance for the new tires.

What would be a good lift for suspension? This may void the warranty but I want to know.

I think 2.5 suspension lift is most so far.. You can do after market, or have the Dealer do them too..
