aftermarket head-unit with factory sirius unit?

My girlfirend has a 2005 Liberty with a head-unit with radio/cd changer/factory installed sirius... and it bothers her there is no display other than the Channel and Station Name...
So she wants to upgrade to a aftermarket head-unit. If i were to do so for her, would the factory wiring hook right up to the aftermarket head-unit and work with the sirius and show all the details?? or would I have to add one of those Sirius Receiver/Antenna kits as well for an extra $100 or so??
Thanks in advance....
Chris

You would need a sirius receiver and antenna to work with the aftermarket radio, the factory unit as far as I know is not compatable with the aftrmarket units, if you remove the factory antenna there will be a 11/16" hole in the roof. I say just live with it.

Get an RB1 Mopar head unit (NAV head unit). It will allow her to see all the info, plus she'll be able to still use the steering wheel controls. And it won't have that funky aftermark look to it.
