03 vs 06..input???

Hi all-

I posted a little while back...my GC is finally starting to give out & I'm in the market for a new suv (obviously preferably a jeep!). Fyi..I'm a girl who doesn't know too much about cars, but I like to learn as I go. My boyfriend works out of state right now, dad recently passed away, and my brother's job takes him away for days at a time. I need something I can count on to get me to work and school. I don't mind little things, but need no major repairs in the next year or two as I finish school.

I found two Liberty's. One is an 03 with 106k for $6400. Everything looks and runs good. One owner..well maintained, clean, and service records look really good. The other is an 06 with 130k for $6700. This was a 2 owner but again all looks good and service records are there & look well maintained. Anything specific I should look for? The 03 is more attractive price and mileage wise...but newer always makes me feel better.

Any input would really help guys!

There are a few changes between the 03 and 06...Im not going to name all the little differences but the 05+ kj's ( kj = 02 to 07 jeep liberty btw ) any way 05 + have rear disk break's traction control is standard on the 06 some minor changes on the interior different front clip etc there are more but I think I named the obvious differences...what trim and engine do they have?

Both are Sports. They both list the 3.7L V6 12V MPFI SOHC as the engine if that helps.
