03 Jeep Liberty Renegade
I'm look at a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade. Is there anything that I should look out for when buying this Jeep? Anything at all

Some of the newer KJs have some window regulator problems, but being an '03 it shouldnt, it might have the stronger 45RFE instead of the 42RLE transmission but that isnt that big of a deal. Being the Renegade though it should come with skid plates and rock rails and a trac-lok in the rear axle.

I have an 03 Liberty and I can tell you straight up that they have window regulator problems. Steiger Performance.com has the answer to these problems. Both of my regulators broke within a month of each other. Jon Steiger had a fix fior the Grand Cherokees so I contacted him. 02-07 Libertys have broken regulators or will have soon. 225.00 at the dealer plus install. He has a kit that will solve the problem. I have a prototype on mine and they work great. Check him out if you or anyone else out there has a problem with the reg. My problem is the radio. Loses front speakers but can usually get them back when I hit the brakes or turn signals. Any help on this will be most appreciated.
