02 liberty needs motor

Hello all. Thank you for the forum ive been trolling for a moment and there's tons of great stuff here. Now for my question I'd appreciate any insight on. My 02 liberty needs.a motor. Apparently cylinder 1 has no compression. The shop i towed it to wants $6175 for a jasper motor installed. OUCH it hurts to even say. Does that sound high? I can't find a decent used motor around here. Ive heard the other reman motors are terrible about honoring their warranty. Any truth to this and how bad? Also do i have any other options that are.reasonable? Could i maybe save money finding a used 04 and have them make the necessary changes? Any direction or insight would be great. This is our main vehicle right now and very stressful. I can play with 4 Gs maybe even 5 but i don't know about $6000 plus. Thanks again

02 is a special motor and the only year you can use,My friend has one for sale here in NY.I can ship it for you if you are interested

I thought you could use either 02you or 03? Im def looking at all options. PM with info on the motor and price please
