'02 Liberty Limited Power Seat Issue

Hey all.

My wife and I just purchased an '02 Liberty Limited. Couple of just "annoyance" issues but the Jeep is clean and low mileage so it was a good deal.

Anyway, the most pressing issue would be the passenger's side power seat. All directions work EXCEPT the ability to lower it. It goes up, but won't go back down. What could cause this?

Kind of important because I can't sit without my head being tilted to the side as it sits. Haha.

Thanks for the input.

Have you checked to make sure all the wires are connected/not frayed? It could also be the switch. Best way to tell for both would be to see if you can take the switch out and change the up wire with the down wire. That should tell you if it is the wire/motor/switch.
