I was attempting to replace rear shocks on my 2000 cherokee. I sprayed penetrating oil three days in a row, the first was changed out without complication however the second created what I perceive as a nightmare. The two problem top bolts were fine but the main pin on the bottom sheared flush with the shock. How is this issued fixed? Please help.

Cut off the whole shock mount with a zip cut and buy or make or cut off another shock mount off the same axle and weld it back into the same spot. Then install shock.
