Whoever is looking for a Buick air box: People have also used Windstar air boxes. It's a cone in a large tube, I think it looks pretty good.

Has anyone seen this done on a YJ? I've been searching a while and cant find one; they are all done on TJs. I dont think itd be much different but the intake tube on the YJ (2.5L) is much shorter, flexible tubing. And the vacuum lines run into the airbox as opposed to the tube itself. Could I just get a intake pipe from a TJ to go to the throttle body or is it a different diameter than the YJs?

I've been wanting to do this to my YJ as well, just haven't gotten around to figuring it all out yet.
I did find one write up for a YJ hummer intake, here it is, http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/hummer-intake-yj-write-up-many-pics-615089/

Where did you get the piping that goes from the carb. to the airbox?
Is it stock on your TJ? |

not sure if this has been asked but has anyone experience any problems at highway speeds?

I don't see why they would have problems at highway speeds because air flows in there pretty healthily. You can feel it throw your vents.
