Great job on your Hummer air intake snorkel. It looks like it came from the factory like that.

That is one great mod!! Clean and effective. Finally, a higher water intake that doesn't look rediculous.

That would be the only PITA with extending the length of the prefilter tube. I do like the idea of carrying an extension on the trail.

I purposely called this a cold air intake and not a snorkel basically for that reason. I also mentioned for the trail riding, you could run an extension on the collar that comes out of the cowl. I still have not relocated the breather on my 3spd, so before I consider an extension, I have more important things to worry about.

However, if I really want, I can run a longer length of ABS and raise the intake cap a couple feet from the hood. Either way, its higher than stock and its colder air for the engine.
Thanks again for the input everyone.

Can you still fold the windsheild down with that?

Just looking at it from the pictures, I don't think so. However, I have never had the desire to do that, so its a non-issue for me. Although I could just remove the cap and collar to fold down the windshield if I was going to install a roll cage or something of that nature that requires me to fold down the windshield.

What a jerk, you can get them NEW from a Hummer dealership for less.

As far as mpg goes, I couldn't tell you. Since this isn't a daily driver, it goes from the garage to the trail and back. I haven't had a full tank of just street driving since I did the intake. Sorry.
