Winch Stopped

So I was using my winch today and used it for about 5 minutes off and on and after I about had it reeled back in it just quit. I did notice it was hot and I do know I used it too long. Would this be a blown fuse or something else?

Try it again tomorrow. Mine did the same after some intense winching. It heated up so much the varnish was melting off the rotor. After it cooled down and my battery charged back up it worked fine.

Report back if it still does nothing.

Also check your connections at the winch and battery to make sure they are still in good shape and tight.

The winch wont work now its just clicking but it is wet. Would that have anything to do with it?

Sounds like one of your solenoids may be bad. What kind of winch do you have?

Check the solenoids. You can determine which one is bad with a voltmeter. Test for continuity between the two big post when there is a 12V source and when there is not. When 12V is present you should hear a click and have continuity.
