Winch remotes?

Does anyone know if any winch remote will work with a certain winch as long as it fits the plug in??? I have a warn 9.0 rc with no remote and want to know if I have to buy the one for that winch or any that will fit

I know my two Superwinches remotes work on either. I don't know on Warn.

The WARN 83665 will fit that winch. However, any 5-pin WARN remote will work.

I bought a RoadlessGear remote control and it works fine. There is a little lag time but nothing that's a big deal. It is not made as well as the Warn but is a lot cheaper. Check it out @ roadlessgear.com.

So the remote would be a five-pin. Most of the plugs will have seven holes.
