Willy's decals on Tan Jeep?????

Would it be totally out of line to put Willy's decals on my jeep

I have a tan sahara and was wondering if anyone has ever seen Willy's decals on a jeep thats not green?

Most Willys Edition owners i know don't take too kindly to imposters. But they it might look good in a lighter tan or beige(or maybe go darker tan or brown?). Desert style. Add some desert camo seat covers and tan steel wheels and I think you'll have an attention getter. Don't forget the rocker guards

definitely lose the sahara graphics too. will totally clash

Willys are Willys and AMC's are AMC's...and they aint the same...Willys never had square headlights...but, like the man said, it's your Jeep...but to me, it's kinda like the guys that like wearing the Harley and OCC and West Coast Chopper t-shirts...and either don't have a bike at all, or they are one of the nicest people you'll meet on a Honda...

Having a Willys has nothing to do with the military...go back and check yer history...Willy's made a ton of civilian jeeps...to me, it's just a deal that Willy's made Jeeps up to a point, then Kaiser, then AMC, then Chrysler...they are all unique, AND separate...

Again, that's just me... Just like I wouldn't put a Honda badge on my Harley... or a Harley badge on my Honda...or a Chevy badge on my Ford...or a Caterpillar badge on my John Deere...Ya put it out there for opinions, that's my opinion!!!

The man is talking about the Willys decals that came on limited edition TJ's in 2004 and 2005, Known as the Limited Edtion Jeep Wrangler WILLYS. Now it's a pretty rare and sought after vehicle. Here's a link for ya : Jeep WILLYS It's a nostalgia thing.

I'm not trying to fool anyone with mine. It's just one killer tribute to the Willys MB and Ford GPW!
If the man wants to clone my Jeep in a tan package I think it might look pretty cool. I mean if WWII happened to be fought in a desert then all military willys would be tan.

I would have the say the decals in an olive green would look great on tan/beige.

As far as being an imposter - I don't really care, I did it on my 97 TJ and I love them. I did place them differently and did slightly different lettering but all in all its a similar vane.

If the Willys edition naver came out wit would be cool, but since it did people think you are trying to be something you arent.

This isnt turning a Tempest into a GTO its just another mod that makes the Jeep thing a bit more not understandable

tryed to get it close to olive for the lettering and junk. but then i got carried away

what's the dark color on your seats? iiif you don't go w/ desert camo seats i would get the decals to match your seat color

sahara's edition wrangler have two tone tan and green"olive drab" colored seats

and sorry no stickers for me i was just goofie off with the pic . The original topic started wonder about willy's sticker on his tan sahara.
