Will a 3.25" lift kit on a jeep tj require more work to install?
Hey I'm thinking about buying a jeep it's a 99 jeep tj Sahara pretty much stock. I was looking at the 3.25" suspension rough country lift or maybe the 3.75" suspension/ body lift combo. If I install one of these lifts, will it require me to adjust other parts of my jeep not included in the lift kit? If so what and how much $$$. Also what is the biggest lift you can get while not adjusting your jeep otherwise. Thanks a lot in advance, this is my first car so I'm really new to all this stuff!

Very likely, yes. You should go to the TJ tech section and use the search function. Lots of threads that you can learn from.

As to your last question, most TJs can take 2" of suspension lift without changing much else (well, longer shocks and rear bumpstop extensions but those often come in the BB kits). Changes required to run body lifts are pretty minimal also, although above 1" most find those hideously ugly. Short story is this is not a cheap hobby.

Better starting question might be, what size tires are you looking to run?

Another thing to think about is just drive it stock for a while. You'll find a stock Jeep is pretty capable. Then you can decide what you do want. When I bought my first I had plans of big lift and tires. I wound up not going so big and made other mods instead.

The time now is 08:51 PM.
