What's an 85 Mail Jeep Worth?

Like the title says whats it worth. Does it have anything in I could use on my YJ? Whats the axel widths? I seem to remember reading that they had locked difs? Yes/No?

Probably not a lot unless it has some sort of historical value. My grandfather retired from the postal service and he said the postal jeeps took terrible abuse. They were driven by people who treated them like gov't property and not their own and while they had low mileage when they were auctioned off, most of the time they sat idling. I'm not sure how much of it you can use on a YJ. I recently saw a 02 or 03 right hand drive TJ delivering the mail...

First of all a mail Jeep (DJ actually) is two wheel drive. That pretty much rules out using the axles. The rear axle is much narrower than a YJ. No Jeep came out of the factory with a locked diff. Limited slip yes, locked no. The DJ's did come with a limited slip.
