Yes, you've got to waterproof all electrical connections, distributor, plug wires/boots, raise your tranny, transfer case, front and rear axle vents above anticipated water level. Depending on what kind of fan you have, you need to find a way to stop the fan from rotating while in the water. No matter what, after water play time, you'll have to pull the wheels and repack the wheel bearings.
I stay out of the water, of course here out west, on public land, it is a $2500. fine for so much as having a tire in the water on most streams. Seems folks get grumpy when you drive your greasy, oil leaking jeep in their drinking water. |

as far as the spinning fan, get you an e-fan and youll be able to shut it off when entering H2O .carry a can of wd-4o in case your ingition system encounters some water along with a new set of plugs and myabe wires with a cap and rotor too. carry some di-electric grease and hit your ignition system with that as well. how deep are you wanting to go? youll need to raise your tcase and tranny vent hoses for sure, unless your wanting to go higher than hood level your axle vents should be okay. youll def. want a snorkel. on your yj you wont need to repack the wheel bearings since they are sealed so thats a plus.
