Upgrade Warn M10000 to M12000

I picked up a used Warn M10000 last week and have been rebuilding it. In the process, I've been reading that the parts between the M10000 and M12000 are interchangeable to the point where you could upgrade an M10000 to a M12000.

Have any of you guys done this?

A 10k is overkill for a JK, I wouldn't bother upgrading it to a 12k.
