Undercarriage issue PLEASE HELP

Hey y'all so recently, I was off road and I apparently ran over something that knocked a piece loose on the bottom of my jeep. It is between the transmission and the exhaust pipe and I have no idea what it is. I have a attached image of it and how I currently am holding the piece on to the bottom of the jeep where it goes by tying it on with a rope. It worked fine for a while and still does but my engine light is on. Can anyone tell me what this part is and how much a repair would cost?

It appears to be the evap canister, if your cel is on then its probably damaged. That part will only be available at the dealer or a salvage yard.

changing it out should only take a few minutes in your driveway with only a couple bolts that hold it on, one wiring plug that clips in and one evap line that plugs in
