Tuffy Speaker Boxes

I'm wondering if anyone has Tuffy's under dash dual speaker box, and how they like the product. How have they faired protecting the speakers from rain?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

You can get a plastic pod too, which I had. They sounded fine, but I wasn't happy with the clutter look though. I got rid of the pod when I re-did my dash and used with 5x7 speakers there.

Funny. I'm going through the same debate as well. I'm planning Tuffy Stereo Console with this two speaker box, then if I need more sound, VDP wedges. I'm thinking I should Monstaliner the tub first though.

It is a pretty slim install, almost too slim. My polk speakers barely fit, and required a little customization. Adds some nice full sound to the front of the Jeep.

After seeing the photos, I think the Tuffy box looks like crap, but thats just my opinioon. It doesn't do much at all for rain/dust. OP, if you do go that route (sounds like you already made up your mind in 1st post) you might want to wrap the speakers in some black spandex so it looks like a grill cloth inside the metal slots.

Tell me how you really feel Don. Haha. The box actually comes with grill fabric.
