tranny temp sensor

How would i install a temp sesnsor in my xj i have the gauge ib but dont know where to instal the sensor or what i need to do so......thanks

just installed the b&m trans temp gauge on my 68 dart. You cut the metal trans line, install pressure fittings with plumbers tape then run your wire to gauge. The trans line to install it on would be the line out which is generally located up higher(but check) and locate it closest to trans for most accurate reading. The trans lines im refering to are the ones running to your radiator cooler.
