Tell me a time when your Jeep made you feel cool...

For example, a few days ago during a heavy rain I was driving down my usual street when I noticed it was flooded with 6 inches of water. I drove threw it without a problem. I then looked at my rear view mirror and watched as dozens of sedans stopped before the mini lake while figuring out what to do.

I was right then that I felt cool for driving a 22 year old scratched to hell jeep Cherokee (almost stock, just one inch larger tires)

Any similar accounts?

Last years blizzard, I made it down an unplowed street where several cars were stuck and the owners were digging out. They stopped and cheered me on as I passed. I wonder how many Jeeps I sold that day.

WA state ice storm. I took my wife and all her co-workers (nurses) back and forth to work for two days as none of their cars could make it.

Mid winter, Denver, Colorado, my wife and I went to the store. Came to a side street and there was three people trying to push a BMW X3 out of the snow bank. Belly pan had high centered on the hard crusted snow. Well as a Jeeper I had to stop and help. I pulled into the snow bank on the other side and got out. Snow to my knees. With the 5 or us we were able to free the BMW and he pulled up some so I could get out and waited to see if I could get out. Jumped back in my Cj7 and put it in first gear, and it walked out of the snow bank like I was on dry pavement. The BMW owner just sat there shaking his head in amazement. My CJ made me fill darn cool that day.

Just this past snow storm in pa we got 13 inches and I was cruising around in 2wd. My buddies couldn't make it up a long hill driveway and I went up and down 5 times before they got up it

One of my Navy buddies came to visit my house in Pennsylvania with his Nissan 350Z. He parked his drivers side wheels off of my very steep driveway in the yard. When it came time to drive back to Norfolk he was throwing mud and sliding further downhill towards the retaining wall. I towed him up the hill to the main road with my old XJ Cherokee and then we took off on the drive back to the ship.

let's try that again shall we?

I was driving during the winter with lots of ice on the road, people where losing control and my TJ with mud tires and no ABS or any sort of computer controlled handling, was keeping me on the road....er....maybe that was just from having good driving skills.....

.....no flame intended , just thought the way your post was worded was rather hilarious

I was cruising in my XJ when some random dude from across the intersection was throwing up the "Rock on" hand symbol at me yelling "Awesome Man!!!!" in his TJ.

I was like "Fudge Yea!"

Last fall we had a torrential rainstorm. On one of the main roads, a big 4 lane with center turn lane, the creek had flooded and overflowed, over the road. The center turn lane was the only place on the road traffic was passing in both directions because it had about 2" of water. The outer lanes probably had 14" or so...maybe knee high. Traffic was all fuggered up.

As I finally got up to it, I just pulled over to the right and plowed on through, in the far right lane. Had a nice big wave from the front bumper and small arcs coming off the tires as I powered through the 100 yards or so of flooded road.

I was focused on the fording, but I did notice one dude in a minivan smiling and giving me the thumbs up....
