superwinch not pulling under load!

My superwinch lp8500 is working fine when it doesn't need to work. Feeds and draws when under the load of me putting tension on the cable. But this morning i hooked up to a tree to pull myself up a hill and nothing! No motor noise, no silanoid clicking, nothing. It actually acted like it was no longer getting any power. Disconnected from the tree disappionted and to my suprise the winch pulled in the cable fine under no load. Reconnect to the tree, get the wieght of the jeep back on the winch and nothing again!! HELP!!!

Check all your large cable connections, it sounds like your loosing contact when under a load.
