Superwinch EPi9.0

Anyone run this Winch... Comments, Likes, Dislikes, etc?

I want an inexpensive winch but still want something "brand name"...

I was also looking at the Warn M8000 but didn't want to deal with mounting the Solenoid...

For the price of this winch (found what I think is a great deal on one of the non-JF Vedor sites) and if I add the Synthetic Rope, I can still be under $800 for a pretty nice Winch Setup...

Thoughts?

I just installed the ep9 with 75ft of 3/8 synthetic. The box was mounted to the case so no need for an extra bracket if that is a concern. Personally I like the lower profile. Lower amp draw and external brake are also a plus. Wheel with guys that have superwinch no complaints so far

I have one, and I love it. Most of the people I wheel with do not have winches, so I become the recovery Jeep.

I have one with synthetic line and it's been excellent. My only complaint is the big blue S badge. That was the first thing to go

I am thinking about getting this one. Anyone have trouble mounting it to the stock front bumper?

No, you'll just need to order the winch plate with it and you'll be fine.

I'm assuming it doesn't' have to be a "Superwinch" plate? I got a Winch plate that shipped with my Hanson Front Bumper...

I hate to think I need to spend an extra $150+ to get the Superwinch specific plate...

Any winch plate made for the TJ will work, all Jeep-size winches except the Warn 8274 use the same standard 10x4.5" winch mounting bolt pattern.

Getting Savvy...

When you have a choice, buy American.

I have two Superwinches. The one pictured (EPi9) and the other style with the remote solenoid. Both have worked very well. Excellent product at a good price.

I can't provide any personal experience as I just got mine on this past weekend and haven't needed to use it the past 2 days but I can't wait. I've been debating over the Warn 9.5ti and the Superwinch Epi 9.0 for some time. I went with the Superwinch and Hope to get many years of abuse out of it.. See link below for pics,,
