Yup, I was over at Rausch Creek this past Sunday and I aired up myself and a buddy from the club without any overheating or rest - I don't know how long it took because who counts minutes at the end of a long day of wheeling. It wasn't long enough to comment about it.

It goes into the cig lighter, so Im thinking it cant draw that much
You are right in your thinking that it's crap. The reason the MV-50 or also called MF-1050 is that it draws about 30 amps, and has to be hooked up directly to the battery. That's why it is so fast. Mine's been going strong for 2 years now.

I've had mine since last summer and it is still going strong. I installed it under the hood, hardwired to the battery, and left it there all winter (colorado) no problems at all whatsoever. It is a little tank.

I have to be the sole dissenter.....

I had mine for about a year and it was OK for a cheap compressor - got the job done for 33" tires but was kind of slow.

It bit the dust at an event and I got left hanging with no air when the local gas station's compressor was down as well. I had to drive a good distance on 12 PSI.

Made it a point to research OBA systems and got a PowerTank CO 2.
