you're asking to partake in a neverending journey my friend. just Texas traffic law is enough for me. not only do you have moving codes, but state equipment codes, state parking codes, but also municipal moving codes, municipal parking codes, registration codes, safety inspection criteria, licensing codes, commercial equipment codes, commercial moving codes.
and then you have precedence that is unique to each individual court, rulings by each state's courts of appeals, and the preference for enforcement by each prosecutor and judge.
oh, and don't forget the code of federal regulations that covers every piece of equpiment on a vehicle, or the fmvss, and then the fmcsr.
trust me, there are some questions that have yet to be answered by the courts of appeals. that's why you don't find anything definitive on traffic interpretation. you could list a link to each state's transportation code, but seriously, it's nothing a few minutes of google can't fix.
