spring compressor

is this what i need to install a lift?

You can do that, ratchet straps, orrrrrrrr disco your sway bars and jack the body up on one side, therefore compressing the other untnil you have room to pull the spring and replace it.

Link doesn't work. What lift are you installing? My 4" RCX lift didn't need one. I just used a bottle jack on the axle and jacked the side I was putting the coil in down until I could get it in. Make sense?

kinda. just a 2" BB no shocks. link should work now.

you don't need it for a 2" lift... it's a little tough, but like haviik said, put a bottlejack between the frame and axle housing (after disconnecting the swaybar) and sneak the spring into the bucket.

once you find the right cuss words, it slides right in.

i did a 2" lift on a tj and the compressors that i rented from autozone made it a lot easier. no need to buy them
