Should I rebuild my axle when installing a locker?

Will be installing my front lock right in my dana 30 here shortly. Should I pick up a rebuild kit while doing this? I am in a ZJ on 31s.

At a bare minimum I would put inner diff seals in. About 8 bucks each at Rock auto. Also change out the Ujoints while in there.

Since you don't even need to pull the carrier for those cheap lockers, I wouldn't bother. If you were doing gears and had to pull the carrier and pinion, absolutely.

Besides inner seals is there anything else (Besides the overhaul) I should really do with the locker?

Ok this is a dumb question but I am struggling to find the answer. How many universal joints will be on my front axle? 2?

One on each side in the steering knuckle. 30-50 bucks each.

Is the inner differential seal the same as the inner axle seal?

yes.
They are changed with the carrier removed.
