Price for Axle Seal Replacement?

Has anyone recently had an axle shaft seal replaced by a shop? I'm just wondering what the average price would be.

Front or rear? I was quoted $210 for the labor for my front inner axle seal. I needed another excuse to regear so I am having it done at the same time and the regear labor is only $250.

That's the same one that is leaking on my D30. If you don't mind pulling the carrier out of the diff, you can do it yourself. Or so I've been told. The seal itself is only around $10.

i've heard that you have to pull the diff carrier but i have also been told by some that you don't as long as you remove the vacuum disconnect housing. I'm just not sure if i am mechanically inclined enough to do this myself, or even have the required tools.
