Ive got a 1990 XJ that ive had for years now. And all of a sudden....power steering leak. It started off very subtle and it would take 2 or 3 weeks before I would hear it whining when I turned the steering wheel. But its starting to get a little bit quicker.
So I found the leak originating from a seal at the back of my steering box, where this joint comes in. I was wondering if this would be an easy enough repair to swap out the seal or if there was more to this. And im tight with cash right now and not really looking at taking it into a shop if its not absolutely necessary, ive just not had much experience with steering boxes as mine hasn't had any sort of problems until now. will this require a lot of disassembling? and what kind of price range am I looking at for a new seal?
