off road trailer projects
I recently finished the stage 1 build of my military surplus M416 jeep trailer and wanted to see what anybody else had.
Does any body have pics of their off road jeep trailer projects or is there any threads already coving this??

I'm going to start my offroad trailer in the next week or so. The frame will be 2x2 tubing, the axle will be the d30 that's coming out of the YJ with YJ springs and it'll ride on 35x12.50x15 MTRs just like the YJ. In theory, the sides will be skinned and painted to match the YJ as will the flares. I'm going to use a pintle hitch for better articulation of the trailer.

![]() I had the pleasure of a three-day adventure with a crew of guys towing these things. I was mostly impressed with the creature comforts: awning, kitchen set up, water tank, roof tent, etc. The units sport nice suspension systems to allow you to drag these suckers over technical terrain Very cool. Very cool. Cheers, M
