I hate to tell you this, but Arlington is a high crime area. If you have any doubt, monitor the activity at these links:

I know...that's why I said it!

Never heard about the salvage title thing.....I've only had one vehicle stolen from me....back in high school I had a '79 6.6....stolen from the school lot. They recovered it a month later, stripped down to the F-Body...insurance said it was so clean you could build a Camaro or a Firebird.

These jerks dis some landscaping and cleaned out their chop shop with my new truck!!!!!!! All in about 4 hours before they dumped it at a coin car wash on the rotors over in "sunny south Dallas"!!!! AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHGG!!!!

Things might be lookin up today..The city of Dallas requires a proof of insurance to reclaim a vehicle from their impound yard. No big deal right? WRONG!Since my truck was only 2 hrs old I had not yet put it on my policy. This shouldn't cause any problems since my Jeep's policy is taking care of the new truck. Let me tell you it has taken an act of congress to open a new policy and get P.O.I. on my truck...well I finally got my agent to do it and fax a copy to the towing company...no problem right? WRONG! MY agent added it and faxed it right after he left for the weekend. The towing company called around six and said they got the fax, however, half the side of the POI was cut off!!!! WTH? I am now very close with Murphy and his law is killing me! Well hopefully I can acquire the needed info through the help line and get the ball rolling today! I really feel like once it gets into the shop a huge weight will be lifted off my shoulders! Keeping my fingers crossed...still!

Sorry to hear about all this. I hope it works out for you in the end. As one driver to another, I feel your pain of working your tail off to be able to afford some nice stuff to enjoy when you do get to come home. I hate thieves. They are breathing the air of decent, hard working people and their supply needs to be cut off. Good luck.

I would suggest some plain jane wheels so the thieves won't want them. I had a friend in Houston that had his Ford f150 stolen twice just for the wheels.

could have been way worse, glad you got it back.

watch the entire texas cl for your wheels and tires, thots been known that people will steal a set of wheels, tires, and gauges to turn a lease vehicle in without penaltys.
