I went out to Paragon last weekend and had a lot of fun in the mud and water. At times, the mud made it up over the hood. The mud was almost over my half doors!
Is there something I should do in the way of post-maintenance now that I ran through all of this mud and water? Is mud and water bad for the under-parts? Should it really be avoided?

Your transmission has a vent on top of it that can allow water (muddy water?) inside. I'd be draining the tranny and refilling it if you got that deep. Make sure the rubber vent hoses that keep water out of your axles are both still firmly attached to the tops of the axles, otherwise water could have gotten in one of them too. The transfer case also has a vent hose like the axles do but its hose is out of the way and normally pretty safe from getting knocked loose so it won't likely let water inside.

For future referance, you should put some dielectric grease on the wiring harnesses. I kept blowing my O2 sensor fuse and could figure out why. 2 sensors later I relized that the water wasn't ruining the sensor, it was just shorting out the plug.
Like Jerry said, tranny, diffs, and t-case. Whatever you do, do not go any deeper than your air intake. That makes for a misrable trail fix :( .

For water above the headlight (stock air intake) make a mini snorkel for 5$ like I did and get the inake level with the hood and no one will ever see it. :thumbsup:
