Mounting Winch Control Box - Pics?

Anyone have some pictures of their control boxes mounted to their winch? I guess specifically I should be asking for pictures of a Tabor 9k winch using the Warn mounting plate...

I ordered the plate and it came in, but I'm not sure exactly where it should mount on the motor. I've tried various combinations and each one comes up a little short...

Here's a shot of the winch installed without the control box... Maybe someone can suggest what bolt the Warn mount should be installed at... (something that won't cover up my turn signal and/or headlight is preferred...)

TIA!

Simon, unless there's something I'm missing, it would make sense (at least electrically) to mount it on or as close to the winch terminals. Otherwise, you'll need to extend multiple large cables to the remotely-mounted controls.

My winch plate kinda blocked the factory turn signals, so here's what I did. The squarish lights are mounted on beefy angle that's welded to the top lip of the bumper....................chim

chim - wow, that's a beefy winch plate, haha...

The Warn mounting piece should make the control box mount somewhere on the motor, I'm just not sure where...

There's 2 bolts on the side of the motor (left) and then there are those 2 rods above the wire cable. I was thinking that it could mount to the front one of those and then all of the cables could be "hidden" underneath it... But I'm just not sure that it'll work or be safe if it's there.

I'm picking up some synthetic line from Zach (AtoZ) tomorrow, so if anything else, I'll get his opinion when I'm there. I don't really want to extend the lines to move it elsewhere (altho I've heard that under the hood is best against water and what not) either...

Anyone else have pics of theirs mounted up?

In this picture, it's BEHIND the body. Well, it won't fit like that on the Jeep because there is a grill in the way, heh...

Nobody has this winch on their Jeep?

I mounted the control box under the hood, pass side fender, near front. I have a dash mounted switch that goes to a regulat winch controller plug that I put into the control box on the trail. Around town, I disconnect the plug. I have a 2nd conventional handheld switch too that I can plug in anytime it is needed. I did have to get a couple 3' cables made.

you can see in this pic I mounted mine off to the side so it wouldn't block so much of the radiator

Nice, thank you for that shot.

I'm meeting up with Zach from AtoZ today to pickup my synthetic cable and I'm going to see what he suggests.
