MetalCloak Frame Built Bumper-Diablo's Build

I decided to go with MetalCloak after seeing them show that they care what the consumer wants when they made thread after thread asking for our opinions. While some of their ideas and concepts maybe were not the most popular, they showed alot of us here on JF that they were willing to take our criticism and turn it into great products.

I also have to comment on the great customer support provided by Matson Breakey(matsonian).I pelted him with question after question about their frame built bumper and any lesser man would have told me to take a hike. He was patient and knew his products. He answered all of my questions through email, here on JF, or on the phone. He even gave me a phone call after I purchased my bumper about an issue with the installation that I could have run into. Thanks Matson for all of the help!Ill defiantly be coming back to MetalCloak in the future!

Now on to the Bumper and the pics!

Here is a link to my quote that MetalCloak emailed me after I used the builder on their website.

Keep in mind that the price in this quote is wrong.Matson gave me an even better deal.

Diablo's Build

Here are a few pics of the packaging of the bumper and the initial assembly.

Keep in mind that the bolts are only hand tightened in all of these pics.

Here are some closeups of the part of the bumper that I had the most questions about. The endcaps. Hopefully these pics can help someone out.

Here are some pics of the winch.

If you have any questions or picture requests please ask and I will do my best to help you out.

I think it looks great! I held off on a stinger or a winch guard because Matson told me that they are working on some different options.A stinger/grill guard combo is in my future!

Why yes...yes of course..

Here are some pictures of the bumper installed.I also relocated the Winch control box to under the hood. I think it not only makes the winch look alot better but it will also keep the electronics out of the weather.I still have to put some wire loom over the cables.

Also keep in mind that the scratches on the passenger side of the bumper were caused by me.Long story...But the good news is that when I get whatever badass stinger/hood guard that MetalCloak puts out next, it will cover that small section perfectly. So no biggy.

No problem guys. I will be updating this thread after I get a stinger/hood guard whenever MetalCloak releases it.

If I could ever get the time off Id be glad too. Its kinda cold out anyways. I think its time to pack it up for the winter around here. But that makes it a great time to build the rig up until the spring.
