The St. Anthony dunes here inj Idaho are the largest in N. America. Test hill, is the size of the smaller dunes. To give you an Idea of just how big they are, during UA 2006 (I was the trail leader for the dune run) it took nearly 8 hrs to go 3 air miles. They freaked when we started to get into the big dunes and wanted to stop. Registered User | Damn! 3 miles up on a dune.. thats awesome. If I'm ever in Idaho I'll be sure to let you know Silver lake isand dunes are about 2,000 acres... 1.5 miles wide and 3 miles long. |
