Looking for Rocker Guards
Hello all,
I was just asked to find something I want for xmas that is under $200. I was looking for possibly rocker protection. I know there are a few out there that are jsut the plain angle iron style steel sliders, but I a not sure which ones they are. I know that there are few on ebay for around $99-$179, but they are made out of 1/8" material. I don't do much rock crawling, but I want to be on the safe side and beef up the rocker panels. Do you guys have any recommendations of a set of rocker guards that are less than $200 shipped? They just have to be basic, I don't need a step or anything. I can add that later ![]() Thanks, Craig

Use the money to buy some tools and make your own. It's more fun that way and more tools are a good thing.
You won't find any for under $200 shipped.

Yeah, it's hard to getting them under $200 shipped. I have the Warn rocker guards and they are really strong and well made. I picked mine up at Redrock4x4.com for $201 (plus shipping by try DC4WD.com. I've recently ordered some things there and he has some incredible prices.
Here are some pics of the Warn's: They are laser cut out of 3/16" steel and powder coated. You can read more about them on my website, here. Best of luck in your search.

I went with Zach's rockers as well and I've been very impressed. Countersunk bolts, tubular steps, shipped unpainted for $232.00. I spent another $30.00 for a couple cans of Eastwood's chasis black paint. It was important to me to have rocker guards with a step. I also wanted to buy them from a person, rather than a large company, and Zach got them to me very quickly.

well, I took a look at the tozfabrication site and like what I saw there. The standard rocker guards without step + countersunk works for me. I just showed "santa" and he agreed that it looked good. It's either this or a 246 piece set of craftman tools. thanks for all the replies.

Get the 246 piece tool set!!!!! You'll have those tools for the rest of your life plus they have a kick-***! warranty.
You can build your own rocker guards like those for $100 in materials, bolts, and paint. That does not include the cost of a grinder ($30), and a welder (surely you know somebody with one). NEVER opt for easily made bolt on parts when you have the option to get more tools!

Please check the Vendor area for a special Jeepforum offer from AtoZ Fabrication and a major thanks to our happy customers that support us. BTW, Bamajeeper, please let me know where you can get two pieces of laser cut and CNC bent Pickled and Oiled 3/16" steel, 10' of structural steel tubing, and stainless steel hardware for $100. Also, you forgot the tube bender($1200), tube notcher($200), and bandsaw($500), among other things needed to produce a quality product. I need to start shopping where you do. ![]()

well, it looks like the toolset is on the way
![]() I am just going to work on making a set out of some angle iron. I already have them cut theway I need, I just have to find a way to mount them so they are secure. I mean, should I tie them into the body mounts underneath or can I jsut bolt them to the rockers and they shoudl be good. they are 4"x1/4" angle iron.
