LoD Bumpers, any experience?

Anybody have experience with LoD bumpers? Found a write-up on one and was curious how they performed.

I'd check out some of these search results:

There are a good number of people that have the LOD. Also check out Eddie's review on 4x4xplor.

Love my rear. Got the xtreme duty. I've already pulled out my friend a couple of times with my d-rings. I've towed a trailer with the hitch and no issues.

only thing i wish was that it mounted to the rear crossmember in more spots. It has 6 holes, but jeeperman rears have more. Plus you cant use the rear frame tie-in brackets (i think) because the bumper is so far off the crossmember.

But ya know i havent heard of any probs, and jeepermans are wayyy too expensive. I'd buy an LOD again.

I have had an LOD extreme duty rear bumper on my jeep for about 1 year now. Other then a few tiny rust spots, its solid. I use the reciever constantly. LOD makes a good product.

I'm not happy with my LOD rear tire carrier/bumper. The hinge is sloppy and the tire causes the carrier to vibrate when i'm driving. I have to ratchet strap the carrier up against the body to keep this from happening.

I love mine.

Stormtrooper, my carrier rattled some to. Did this with the oem spare snubber and it's rattle free now, give it a try.

Your actually supposed to leave that rubber idolater pad there. that is not a "handle" on the carrier, it is there to push against that rubber idolater pad to keep things snug.

I like mine, just expect to wait a while to get it.
I will also be modifying it by adding another frame tie in for more peace of mind while towing.

That thing looks great- the main drawback I see is that there is no place for a gas can?

i read that too, but i needed to cut mine down, the rounded top of the rubber is all gone, i cut it where the seam is, and now it fits great.... there was no way it would have fit without modifying the rubber, and i do have the newer model with the "handle"
