Jeep Golden Eagle Edition
Found a 2006 Wrangler with low mileage in my price range. However, I do not like all the Golden Eagle badges all over it...Are those painted or just vinyl decals? Can they be removed without ruining paint? Thanx

If your careful they should just peel off.
They may leave a little bit of the adheasive behind, but you should be able to use a cleaner that doesnt harm the paint to remove it. -Mike

I don't care when they have the Eagle on the hood of a TJ, but I kind of like the decal on the side of the hood. Looks good, and has some Jeep history to it.

If it was me, I would would either leave the Golden Eagle decals in place or find a different Jeep. I like being linked to the old CJ Golden Eagles. My dad had one when I was a kid, now I have one myself, so I am a little biased.

I didn't like the new Golden Eagle design as well as the original either. You can take the hood decal off by using a heat gun. Start from a corner and just heat it enough to warm the decal not soften or melt it. You should have minimum residue that can be removed with 3M adhesive remover.

The '06 golden eagle edition was a flop. You can take all of the vinyl off or have the dealer do it if your not sure about DIY. In fact, I heard quite a few stories about people settling for the golden egale only after the dealer agreed to remove the badging/decals.

On my Golden Eagle, I had the dealer take off the side badges, and the large Eagle was never added to the hood, it's still in the box. The only stickers on the jeep is the "Golden Eagle" name on the sides of the hood. With the gold rims and black body, it looks sharp!

Fastlane ::: Nevermind ... I assumed you had a CJ. Those Wrangler decal packages aren't the real deal.
