Jeep cuts off

I have a 94 jeep Cherokee it keeps cuttin off when I drive it and when it's in 4 low. What's the problem and how do u fix it

Need more info to help diagnose. How many miles? Any trouble codes? When it does run, how is it ie: rough idle, sputters, funny smells? How long since last tune up? etc etc

It's got 120,000 and I haven't took it to see if it has any trouble codes.. It ll idle high and low and then high I put a new alternator on it not long ago integer and smells of oil sometimes after driving for 30 or so mins

Start by cleaning the throttle body and IAC and see if it helps.

Alright thanks and another thing I was told it could be my cps the crank position sensor would that make it do what it's doin and how do u check to see if that's it
