Interior insulation for the floorboards

I just have the rubber floor liner in my '79 CJ-5, so it tends to get pretty warm in the cabin in both the summer and winter because of the heat coming off the engine, tranny, exhaust, etc

I've looked around for insulation to put down under the floor liner, but all I can find is the kind that it meant to be either glued or taped down. I want something that is removable for cleaning out the Jeep and when I need to do work on it.

Does anyone know of any type of insulation "blanket" (for lack of a better word) that I can put down under the rubber floor liner and will be removable?

Thanks,

Warren

just use the normal stuff with either Velcro or some double sided tape in small sections like the floor pan under your feet and at the edges so it doesnt shift. you dont "have" to glue it down. if you dont want to do that, just lay it in there for a while. if it shifts around then secure it in some way.

Get yourself a Summit Racing catalog from www.summitracing.com/ and you'll find probably a dozen different types of insulation products meant for that purpose, most having an aluminum coating on both sides. They not only keep the heat out, they help keep out road noise too. I think JC Whitney's catalog may also have similar products as well but I'd recommend Summit Racing for faster shipping.
