after reading a thread on differentials...

i have a 9 inch ford at my dads place with disc brakes...it was originally for a 67 mustang i had but it has since gone away...and i have the 87 wrangler...apparently the drivetrain in it has a lot to be desired...

so here goes the idea...

how much would i have to cut the 9 inch...if any to fit the wrangler...and what would i have to do for the disc brakes to work?proprioning valve...is that all?

Not sure, but 4 wheel discs would be sweet...

That sucks, if you got it it's almost a direct bolt up under a jeep, all you have to do is move teh spring perches. Oh well.

Well this might make you throw around some more swear workds, FYI, it's the same width (or damn near) as an explorer 8.8, something around 61" and has the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. However they are kinda hard to come by. If you're willing to do a COMPLETE rebuild, I know a guy with one but it's been under water once.

actually i just talked to my dad again and he thinks he may have been mistaken about the one he took...

this is worse than a soap opera...

i have an 8.8 as well...just no disc brakes...

The ONLY advantage of a 4x is to be able to go where the car can't.
