Was wondering the same.

The idiots probably shut it down in fear of hydrolocking the motor.

Oh, and make sure to turn the wheels against the direction you are pulling, helps make it even more dead weight.

You can call me what you want...but I would never even try something like that in my jeep. That's a shame that was a really nice TJ to way nicer then mine lol

I have no problem trying stuff like that, I just would not have ridden the edge and always get a run at stuff like that. And then I also have a good winch and real recovery gear. And know how to use it!

Yea if my jeep was bigger and was more familiar with it then maybe but I just bought it about 3 months ago and it's my first vehicle sooo

It's a jeep thing...you wouldn't understand :)

Yeah i get ya. my cj5 isnt much and Ive only had it 6.5 months, but ive had it apart twice, its getting its second lift and second axle swap right now. She's a gnarly beast and ive only got about 3400 in it so far some i dont mind wailing on it.
