Hitch for 02 Wrangler

Ok so I want a hitch for my new Jeep. What is the difference between a Smittybilt JH44 & JH45 besides about $35.00 in cost?

Don't get a SmittyBilt hitch (or SmittyBilt just about anything else) for your Jeep. Get a hitch from a hitch supplier. I bought a Curt hitch for my '02 off e-bay for somewhere around $125-150 several years ago. It held up great (no flaking, rusting, etc.) until I pulled it off a couple of years ago to install a bumper with an integrated receiver in it. If you were closer to me, I'd make you a swingin' deal on my old hitch to get it out of the garage.

SmittyBilt stuff is generally bottom of the barrel. Often the powder coating is thin and falls off. Their stuff often rusts prematurely. I (and many others on this forum) learned that lesson the hard way!

Thanks for the reply. I intend on using it for a cargo rack only but if I'm going to get one it may as well be a good one.
