Hi lift jack won't jack, need help?

So I went to use my hi lift today and the damn thing won't jack. Does anyone have a picture of the pins that move in and out on the side? I'm thinking one of them is out of position.

Did you have enough weight on the Hi-Lift? It requires 150 lbs or more weight for it to work properly, it will just release and fall to the ground in the lowering position without that minimum required amount of weight.

it is brand new. I didn't have much weight on it. Only the weight of my hand pushing down. I will put some weight on it and see what happens.

Bot - not having enough weight on the jack is likely the problem. But when I first got my jack the pins and the rest of the action had so much gunk in them for storage that it wouldn't work until I cleaned it out and lubed the pins.

There you go, that's the problem. By the way... its Owner's Manual clearly states it must have 150 lbs. on it for it to work properly. It sounds like it's time to find the manual and read it, especially since a Hi-Lift can be dangerous to use since you haven't yet thoroughly read the instructions!
