I had the little red MV-50- it worked great until I left it unattended on the fender and it fell and broke. So, I picked up the more expensive Costco compressor- it was like 130 or so. It is very fast by comparison. I leave it on the ground now, but if it breaks, now I have the Costco endless warranty.

Beware Beware Beware!!!

Bought mine from Costco too, was labeled as a Q-Maxx. I was going to change out to standard fittings. Some have done this with a 1/8 to 1/4 NPT double male end. Mine DID NOT have this thread. Local shop measured it up, it's a 12mm and I looked at several speciality shops here in Spokane and none of them has a fitting that will work. Unit is going back to Costco and I'll be looking for one that has the 1/8 NPT thread for the Air connection.

Today it looks like that ebay site is $36 + $14 shipping for the buy it now option, for those that might be interested.

Unfortunately - no Pep Boys or Costco's up in my neck of the woods.

Local machine shop

A local machine shop should be able to fix you up; for cheap! Ron

I took it to a shop, thats who measured it out for me. They could have drilled and tapped it, I could even do that from home. Problem was when I took it apart, the original hole was tapped in low so enlarging wasn't really an option.

I just bought one on an ebay auction for about $25 plus $14 shipping. Less than $40 sounds good to me.

Have any of you taken the motor apart? After a year of airing up mine this last weekend pretty much stalled out. I could tell a noticeable difference in the motor tone and then it wouldn't take my last tire over 25psi.

I'm going to start pulling it apart and checking if it's just dirty, etc. So anyone do any work on theirs? I have the master flow one, not the costco version or HF version.

I just got a stainless fire extinguisher, I'll be converting my cost-co setup into true OBA on the ZJ.
