What parts do I need to convert the air fitting on the Pep Boys one to a normal size?

I've had the HF Compressor for about a year, used 4 of 5 times. It started blowing fuses. I took it apart and found the cylinder scored and covered with some kind of black stuff. tried cleaning everything up but it only ran a short while and blew the fuse. I just got the red master flow. I'll see how well it holds up.

Can anyone tell me the best way to hardwire it? Where should i buy the wires to hardwire or should i just cut off the clamps and use the wires on it?

Well...I just found this posting while searching for different ways to add OBA. I just spent about an hour going through the whole thread looking for pictures of peoples different setups. Does anyone have pictures of it setup with a tank and what is needed to have the pump fill the tank? Also, if using a tank, will it be able to provide sufficient air to power an impact gun if needed on the trail?

Great thread! I picked up the MF1050 unit at Pep Boys during my lunch break. It was $59.99, but I had a $5 coupon.

I can't wait to get home to test it out. I plan to mount it under the hood and hard wire it. Thanks again for all of the helpful info. Now I can use the money I saved not buying a Viair to tackle other things on my "to do" list.

Neither of these compressors will run air tools. If you attach them to a tank they will only be able to fill it to about 60psi. It takes a long time to get there too. They are only good for filling tires. Works well for their intended purpose I must say, I have the Mastercraft version myself.
