GM and Chrysler merger

So i did not know where to put this. I am in the military and just PCSed to Korea and right before i left i heard of this merger. well now i am here cant find anything more on it so does anyone know anything more on this. i am just wondering because GM said that they would not take Jeep because of Hummer. i understand that and i belive it would be better to create more competition. but International was talking of picking up the Jeep brand. i really hope that this goes this way because i think that International would do great things with Jeep. so any good info would be great.
