Genright Louvers vs other brands? Need JK louver opinions!

I know that the Hyline and Poison spider large plate louvers seem to be the "cool" louver choice but as i look at the many pics of the installs i see that some people cut the support bars underneath the hood out of their JK hood or just cut out what they can of the hood around the X support. I don't want to cut the hood supports and when i see what actual vent openings end up being with the Hyline or Poison Spyder it seems to me that the Genright openings end up being larger and more in the right spots to vent heat from the engine compartments.
If my main objective is to vent heat from the engine compartment to allow my wiring, hoses, plastics, and external engine components to suffer less heat damage and hopefully last longer wouldn't a louver that utilizes the areas between the x brace to take advantage of more square inches of opening to vent the heat be the more practical choice?
Am I all wet on this one?

On a slight tangent from your idea... Search for Ambugirl's thread on hood vents..

Cut out some holes on the side of the hood will some hole saws... I did it to my TJ and it has dropped the temps a few degrees and only took about an hour.

I actually saw a pic of your jeep somewhere.....? And liked the idea but my jeep is a new 2012 and i don't have the guts yet to leave "unfinished" holes. So i was trying to come up with some trim rings that may work to finish the edges of the holes and i did find some marine trim rings 2.5" that may work. Still tryin to decide what i wanna do but simplicity often rules that's for sure! Thanks for the look see.
