which gear?

when driving on sand should i stay in drive or use 1 or 2?

That depends on how fast you're driving and how packed the sand is. If you're just creeping along, I'd keep it in 1 so it doesn't shift into 2 and maybe bog the engine down at the wrong time. I'd be running in 4Hi too.

You just have to get a feel for it.

If the auto is shifting too early and the motor is bogging down, then shift in manualy.
