Full restore questions.

Hello everyone viewing my thread! I recently bought a 1979 Jeep J-10 Honcho for $1500 running and driving. It has the 258ci inline 6 auto AWD with fully 4x4 mode. Here http://i.imgur.com/xA973kd.jpg is a picture if you're interested. I want to bring it back to glory and make it my first Jeep look like it's brand new. But first I want to make it reliable.

I want to make sure that it runs strong and drives great, so it's not just a pretty looker in the garage. So right after buying it I drove it over to the auto parts and bought a new oil filter and oil, transmission filter and fluid, air filter, spark plugs wires and gapper, and I figure it's a good start, but I need suggestions from people who've owned their Jeep longer then 1 day like me. What would you all suggest that I buy next to replace?

The brakes and tires so its safe. Full inspection of the rest. I like a quiet vehicle. The fastest way of getting tired of a vehicle is one that is not fun to drive. Eventually changing the distributer to a HEI or DUI or other will be a super modification.
By the way nice Jeep.

Of all the things Ive lost
The one I miss most is my mind

Its like a fart in a windstorm
It smells good but thats about it
