Flying A Flag

I meant to do this earlier in the summer, but it still applies: What is the best way to either mount a short flag pole or fly a flag on a Jeep? I've been trying to do it for a while and I can't find anything

I got some camouflage net spreader poles and cut one to fit under my soft top but be able to remain mounted (big 175lb rated zipties) so I can put the flag in when ever I have the top off. I am going to be fabbing up a socket to mount to the outside with the top on.

Ill post up some pics later.

I fab'd up two brackets that mount to the seat belt bungs on the roll bar. The flag pole clamps onto those and is pretty Damn secure

For Independence Day, I cut a stout sapling for a flag pole. No, I don't know the length, I eyeballed it. I placed the butt into the rear seat cup holder, and securely bungee'd the pole to the top of the roll bar cross piece in front of the sound bar. Voila, a flag pole, attach your favorite colors. Flag and pole are currently stored in the garage for the next time they're needed. Likely Veterans' Day.
Good to about 35-40 mph but over that, it will shred a flag in fairly short order. YMMV, and invariably will...

I use an old fire stick and welded a small tab to the rear tire carrier. Easy.
